In your back link building efforts, it is not enough to get any old link.  To have the greatest success in improving Google ranking, you must focus your efforts on getting high authority, high PageRank sites to link back to you.

Have you ever heard of the phrase junk links?  That is when the sites pointing to you are not very seasoned or trusted in the eyes of the search engines.  Sites like forums where you can create your own profile easily – or use an automated tool to do it – and then create as many links pointing back to yourself as you want can be used in certain situations, but for the most part, they will not get you where you need to go.

On the other hand, syndicating unique content in the form of articles and blog posts out to a blog network, also known as an undetectable SEO link network, or to article directories will usually get you the best bang for your buck.  The key here is unique content, not the same article published to hundreds of different sites.  Google closed up that SEO loophole a few months ago.

Yeah, I know.  Who has the time to create tons of unique content needed to rank well in the search engines?  Sorry.  There are no short cuts here.  If you don’t want to do it yourself, I suggest you pay someone to do it for you.  I cannot sugarcoat this and tell you there is a magic bullet formula because there is not.  Google, Yahoo and Bing are too smart and have too many resources to allow shortcuts to work for more than a day or two.

In closing, create unique content related to your industry every day and then syndicate it out to high authority sites found all over the web.  That, my friend, is the only way to succeed in SEO and back link building.
