How to Link Build

By |February 9th, 2012|

Today we will not discuss how to build a metal chain to secure a bicycle to a fence post.  The type of links we are talking about are hyperlinks that point back to your website or to any website that you want to give a boost to in the search engines.  If you don’t know what a web link is you can visit another blog post on this site entitled, What is a Back Link?

Best Link Building Software

By |February 7th, 2012|

I was banging my head against a wall for months because other keyword research tools only give you part of the equation. The search statistics they provide don't tell you if you should waste your time optimizing for the keyword or not. Thank God I accidentally found the Keyword Analysis tool in SENuke X. It's perfect.

What is a Back Link?

By |February 4th, 2012|

This definition is for beginners who don't have any experience in search engine optimization. Back Links are the most important factor in ranking better in the search engine results pages.

Market Samurai Troubles

By |January 29th, 2012|

New changes at Google have put one of my favorite tools, the way we know it today, at risk.

The best part of Market Samurai is that it is a one-time paid tool, not a monthly subscription service like so many other online tools and services out there.

Lately, a bunch of features in Market Samurai have been completely down because of the inability yo retrieve results from Google.  The biggest module that was affected was also the most used, Rank Tracker.

In a statement on their website, the company says that they may have to move to a subscription-based model, at least […]

Without this SKILL, You Cannot Succeed

By |January 29th, 2012|

Everything counts.  Everything either moves you toward your goal or farther away from it.

By Brian Tracy in an audio program called The Luck Factor

Why are goals so hard to set and put down in writing?  For me it was because I didn’t want to let myself down.  I would set goals that were unrealistic, in and of themselves, with unrealistic due dates.

Recently I have been getting better at breaking my goals down into smaller chunks and this has helped me get things done and not feel overwhelmed.

That’s all a part of the process.  Goal setting is […]

This Week in Review: Business Priorities and Reasons that Motivate

By |January 27th, 2012|

It’s Friday, already.

This week was good.
My New Company’s Progress
SEO Spartan, my new company, is in its infancy so I’ve been focusing all my efforts on getting it off the ground and acquiring the critical mass of clients needed to turn that ever-important profit.  Anyone who has ever started a business knows that there is an endless list of things to do so keeping my focus on the number one priority – selling – especially as a one-man show, at the moment, has been a challenge.

Right now, I am just about finished with a Special Report about how to get your […]

Follow Your Business Passion

By |January 20th, 2012|

This post should also be called Only Do What You Love and Be the Best at It.

Since December 21st, 2011, I’ve been working almost 100% on my internet marketing business and have not worked in my family’s restaurant at all.

As you can imagine, my father is a little annoyed with me because he has these plans in his head of me taking over his role at the restaurant over the next couple years.

Personally, I couldn’t be happier. I get to see my wife and children more, I eat dinner with them which I know makes my wife super happy, and […]

Premium WordPress Theme for Restaurants

By |January 18th, 2012|

Today, we finally pulled the trigger at my family’s restaurant and updated our website.  We had been thinking about it for a while but were hesitant to pay a designer a few thousand bucks to build a custom site and there are not that many out there (not locally anyway) that are good at building WordPress websites.

I can build websites on my own by plugging in a WordPress theme, of course, but hadn’t found any themes that fit what were were looking for.  The restaurant themes that I had toyed with in the past were kind of crappy.

Today, for the heck of […]

Use Automated SEO Tools Carefully

By |January 18th, 2012|

I am always very careful when using automated Search Engine Optimization tools and software so today was no different.
I decided to get out of the house today and head over to Starbucks for a few hours.  Sometimes, when I work from home I need to remember to get out or the whole day can get away from me.  Yesterday, I was writing for hours and hours before I realized it was dark out.  I lose myself online, what can I say.

Anyway, I was at the coffee shop for just under two hours and got a bunch of SEO link-building work done.

Tools used were, […]
